Bestchem Perfumery Grade Ethanol is 99.7% Anhydrous Ethanol denatured with Tertiary Butyl Alcohol and Denatonium Benzoate (Bitrex). It has characteristic low odour properties and minimal impurities. Bestchem Perfumery Grade Ethanol has a wide variety of applications, from making aromatic perfumes, colognes to diffuser fragrance oils and hand sanitizers.

Cosmetic Uses:

  • Suitable to dissolve essential oils and fragrances
  • Lower odour than normal Ethanol. Hence, it is more suitable for perfumes as the smell isn't as strong
  • Bitrex denaturant component of the Ethanol makes it undrinkable
  • Found in a range of cosmetics such as fragrances, aftershave, toners, deodorants, cleansers, and more.

Bestchem Perfumery Grade Ethanol is produced from natural sugarcane molasses.

CAUTION: Most Ethanol or commonly known as Denatured Ethanol contains denaturants (such as Methanol, Acetone, Methyl Ethyl Ketone) which makes it taste bad or toxic to make it unfit for human consumption. These are not suitable for cosmetic or making aromatic perfumes applications.

The Fire Safety (Petroleum and Flammable Materials) Regulations 2005, storage of petroleum and flammable materials (P&FM) is under the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) licensing control.

  • Anyone who intends to store petroleum and flammable materials beyond the stipulated exemption quantities is required to obtain a licence from SCDF. 
  • If you do not possess the P&FM storage license, we request that you activate an order or delivery only when you have fully consumed the P&FM products in your premises to ensure that you do not stock P&FM products exceeding SCDF’s stipulated exemption quantity.
  • Best Chemical Co (S) Pte Ltd holds no responsibility for violations beyond our control. Storage licence is not required if the quantity stored or kept is below the licence exemption quantity (i.e. 20 litres for most P&FM). 
  • All storage of P&FM, regardless of quantity stored, have to comply with fire safety requirements for storage of flammable materials.
